Watershed 3D Maps
These three-D watershed maps were made by Trevor Wicks.
They are amazing. When they are taken out to events in the communities, the citizens look at them in detail. Many questions are asked about the areas each covers. These maps need to be protected and utilized in their communities as often as possible.

CONNECTING THE DOTS
Vancouver Island Water Watch Coalition has had a film made for all to view and for all to be able to “connect the dots”. It was created by Don Kitsch and narrated by Karen Deck. Both of these individuals are from Youbou.
Please watch and leave a comment.
Mt. Arrowsmith Biosphere Reserve
A biosphere reserve is a voluntary, cooperative, conservation reserve created to protect the biological and cultural diversity of a region while promoting sustainable economic development. It is a place of cooperation, education and experimentation, where scientists and managers can share research data to better understand man’s impact on nature, and where local communities, environmental groups, and economic interests can work collaboratively on conservation and development issues.
WATER SOURCE SURVEY AND POWER POINT
Trevor Wicks worked long and hard on the Water source survey. He has put this presentation together to get YOU to begin to ask the questions that need asking…both of yourself and of your water purveyors. Please consider utilizing this survey and asking your purveyors the important questions. There is one sheet for you to print off and send to your water purveyor. They MUST answer you. If there is no response there is a process you can utilize to obtain the answers. When and if you get answers…..please let the editor know so we can begin to log responses.
Please see the attached documents. The slide document was prepared for use within each of our communities. It has been used in schools as a power point presentation. The survey itself is now added as a separate word document for you to print off.
