shíshálh Nation deserves the heartfelt thanks of Sunshine Coasters for taking the initiative in proposing possibilities for overcoming the perennial water shortage on the Sunshine Coast.

After recently hosting a water summit for local governments, it acted with lightning speed in proposing to various governments and partners a project to construct two large reservoirs to capture naturally occurring drinking water in huge amounts. This proposal, which will require funding, when implemented would go a long way to removing the almost annual relevant states of emergency, and water limitation usage.

Thanks again to the shíshálh Nation for its plan, its foresight and its action that hold promise of benefitting Coasters in a highly significant way.
