Last Saturday, April 6, 2019,on a cold, rainy, windy day people got out of bed to join our Vancouver Island Water Watch Coalition, BC Forest March, in Nanaimo. BC Ferries had cancelled sailings that morning because of the rough weather (It was raining sideways!) but people persevered. A big thank you to Elder Geraldine Manson for providing a special Snuneymuxw prayer and song to start the event. And thanks to all the speakers who shared their expertise; June Ross, of Vancouver Island Water Watch Coalition; Ray Travers, Registered Professional Forester; and Galen Armstrong of Sierra Club.
