EDITOR: As you know we went to Government on April 10th, 2018 with our drinking watershed concerns. We sent a follow up letter on May 9th, 2018, asking for timelines for address to our concerns. We had no responses from any of the 17 MLAs/Ministers.
Therefore, on June 12th, 2018, another letter as follows was sent:
Dear MLAs and Ministers,
On April 10th, 2018, we met with many MLAs/Ministers from the Island concerning our watersheds.
On May 8th, we sent a follow up letter to each of those we met with asking for timelines to address the concerns we presented to you on the 10th of April.
To date, we have not had one response from any of you.
We are wondering when you may take action on any or all of the items we have raised?
Many of the Community groups that belong to VIWWC will be scheduling community town halls over the next two months to apprise the citizens in each community of what we have done to date as well as what we need the government to undertake on all of our behalf’s. Can you please provide us with some kind of timelines for address so we can in turn apprise the citizens in each of the communities?
Sincerely,
June Ross
