NODRAs Purpose
The North Oyster~Diamond Ratepayers Assoc. is a community based residents association functioning as community watch-dog and liaison, on behalf of members and residents of CVRD Area H.
We are concerned with:
irresponsible government spending and actions that increase costs to area taxpayers;
and work towards preserving and protecting the rural nature and natural resources of this area. We value our farms, forests and fresh water resources;
protecting this area from irresponsible land use/zoning decisions that negatively
Impact residents and property owners;
the protection and preservation of our regions largest freshwater resource, the Cassidy Aquifer;
. promoting sustainable water use throughout the region;
initiating and organizing wildfire and emergency preparedness educational events for this community annually;
and work on other special community improvement projects from time to time, as needed;
Our main objectives are to keep Area H taxes low for residents, promote responsible government spending, and preserve the rural nature of this electoral district.
