OUR MISSION
To promote groundwater conservation and sustainability of the aquifers in the Cowichan Basin.
In addition, as a community service, we provide static well level monitoring for residential wells. These readings are logged on a quarterly basis and shared with the Hydrology Division of the Ministry of Environment in Nanaimo.
The monitoring provides the individual well owner with a confirmed water level report that will show any deviation from the normal groundwater flow in their area. With community developments on the rise and the possibility of aquifer levels diminishing, it is important to know what the current well levels are now and they respond to seasonal, climatic and man made changes throughout the long term.
