On Friday, February 24th the Shawnigan Resident's Association was advised that Cobble Hill Holdings Ltd. has filed a notice of appeal to the British Columbia Court of Appeal, the appeal requests that Justice Sewell's January 24th judgement be set aside. The SRA is conferring with our legal team of Robert Anderson and Sean Hern to determine the next course of action.
Last week's victory was a tremendous victory for our community, we won a major battle but the threat to our community still exists. The political and legal battle to ensure Lot 23 and Lot 21 have been remediated will continue until the residents of Shawnigan Lake are completely assured that their drinking water, now and into the future, is safe.
