Court Date is Near!
BSASS is preparing to appear in court against the Regional District as early as the week of FEb 9th, for lack of consultationwith the public and the Native Band. What is the Problem?
The Comox Valley Regional District gave their approval of by-laws without proper consultation with the appropriate agencies and other levels of government including First Nations. The most important issue: the determination of an adequate source and supply of potable drinking water for local area residents has not been adequately addressed nor been resolved!
THE ISSUE OF WATER SOURCING, TREATMENT AND DISTRIBUTION REMAINS UNRESOLVED FOR THIS DEVELOPMENT and the public has not had adequate input or assurance on this issue!
BSASS is raising community awareness and at at the same time raising money for its court case. Please read the BSASS fundraising appeal (attached) and give generously to a precedent setting cause!
