Rain Catching

Rain catching from rooftops through gutters
is a poor source of clean water .
Further more the barrel collecting it must be screened to prevent insect growth such as mosquitos .
These stop gap measures can offer some water for small gardens perhaps but not much more .
There is another fact to consider and that is bird droppings on roofs and the disease prospect .
